Is this already a feature? If so, where to set from North up to Track up? If not, it's a feature suggestion.
Is there a special reason why the other map layer parms can be modified without being in flight mode but info fields and map orientation can't? I think, both info fields and map orientation have the same life span as the other parms.
Map orientation and InfoFields are only usable when in flightmode. They have no meaning when not in flightmode (aka planning mode). All the other items are meaningful to use in planning mode also.
I see it in a different way - when I want certain info fields I most likely want them for every flight and the same with map orientation. It's not useful when for every new flight plan the map orientation is North up when I generally use Track up. So that would mean to have to change it for every new flight plan - not user-friendly, I guess. The same applies to the info fields.
@ Ernst.
If you select track up in flying mode it appears to remember this even after EV4 is closed and re-opened.

Alan is correct, the same applies for the infofields of course. When you activate flightmode it uses the settings you had the last time you activated flightmode.
Why not adding a small icon on the moving map like a small triangle and when touching it , you will be able to change from track up to north up? I have it on Skyview and its helpful. Also it's always there -in flight mode and planning mode.
