Today, we\u2019re excited to share the final release in this series: <strong>EasyVFR 4.4.6<\/strong>. This update wraps up all of the 24 improvements and 26 bug fixes we\u2019ve made to enhance your flying experience. Here\u2019s a quick overview of the highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Improved Vertical Profile (VP):<\/strong> Easier altitude changes, clear feasibility feedback, and better syncing in flight mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Direct-To Waypoint of Active Route:<\/strong> Quickly re-route to any upcoming waypoint, recalculate on the fly, and easily revert if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Auto-Closing &amp; Pinning the Info Sheet:<\/strong> Keep your screen clear with auto-close or pin important info when flying.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edit &amp; Delete User Waypoints in Info Sheet:<\/strong> Manage waypoints directly from the map with a few taps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MSFS 2024<\/strong>: FSConny is update to support the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Enhancements:<\/strong> Improved Radio Card, better iPad Pro 13&#8243; support, GPS status updates, logbook extraction, and much more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you enjoy the holiday season and the start of 2025, we\u2019ve also been working on something truly exciting behind the scenes. Now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>No Multi-Leg TOD<\/strong>: You decide your crossing altitudes for each leg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Red Leg Warnings<\/strong>: If your aircraft can\u2019t complete the required climb or descent, that leg turns red, showing you where adjustments are needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"recenter-your-plane-in-the-vp\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Re-center Your Plane in the VP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When in Flying mode, tapping <strong>Re-center Position<\/strong> not only centers the main map but also brings your aircraft back into view on the Vertical Profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"more-responsive-vp-editing\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">More Responsive VP Editing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you need to drag and adjust altitudes on a route line, EasyVFR now smoothly updates the VP to match your new plan, giving you clear feedback every step of the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"2-directto-waypoint-of-active-route\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Direct-To Waypoint of Active Route<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most-requested features is finally here! With a route loaded in <strong>Flying mode<\/strong>, you can now re-route on the fly to any upcoming waypoint:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 id=\"route-card-shortcut\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Route Card Shortcut<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the <strong>Route Card<\/strong> and spot the three dots next to an upcoming waypoint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Direct-To<\/strong>. EasyVFR will create a new route starting from your current position, heading straight to that waypoint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your <strong>ETA<\/strong>, <strong>distance<\/strong>, and other navigation details are recalculated instantly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 id=\"map-shortcut\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Map Shortcut<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tap on the map a waypoint that is part of the active route.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Direct-To<\/strong> in the <strong>Info Sheet<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"cancel-directto\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cancel Direct-To<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to revert to your original route, simply select <strong>Cancel Direct-To<\/strong> in the Route Card. Tap the <strong>Pin<\/strong> button at the top-right corner. MSFS 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ubi Sumos<\/strong> has updated <strong>FS Conny<\/strong> to work seamlessly with <strong>Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024<\/strong>, adding to the already extensive compatibility list for EasyVFR of <strong>Prepar3D, X-Plane, MSFS 2020,<\/strong> and the older <strong>MSFS X<\/strong>. (See <a href=\"https:\/\/easyvfr4.aero\/sim\">easyvfr4.aero\/sim<\/a> for details.) Thank you, Ubi, for your help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When connected to a simulator, <strong>EasyVFR 4<\/strong> functions exactly as it does in real flight. You still get official navigation charts, NOTAMs, navaids, and airport procedures\u2014making EasyVFR 4 the ideal tool for practicing in a simulator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>(Available with all our paid subscriptions: <a href=\"#pricing-and-plans\">Live, Pro, and FFM <\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"6-other-enhancements-amp-fixes\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Other Enhancements &amp; Fixes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ve also introduced several smaller improvements and tweaks based on user feedback:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Radio Card<\/strong>: Several small tweaks to improve guidance like displaying \u201cSquawk ATC discretion\u201d instead of just \u201cATC Discretion.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>User Waypoints in EasyVFR Essentials<\/strong>: Even if you\u2019re using the free EasyVFR Essentials tier, you can maintain your custom waypoints.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Large Tablets with High Reselution<\/strong>: Optimized layout and interface for high-resolution screen like the <strong> iPad Pro 13&#8243;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>GPS Status Indicator<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shown by default on the Instrument Ribbon, making it easy to keep track of your GPS source.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your GPS source changes mid-flight, a brief popup appears and will auto-close after 10 seconds. The GPS indicator turns amber until you acknowledge the new source in the <strong>Status Card<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dynon &amp; MGL Wi-Fi Transfer<\/strong>: In portrait mode, these transfer buttons are now vertically aligned for a cleaner layout.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Logbook Extraction from Daily Tracklogs<\/strong>: Quickly pull flight details to keep your records up to date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Background Operations on Android<\/strong>: Improved stability when EasyVFR 4 runs in the background, ensuring data updates continue and vocal warnings remain active.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>In-Flight Panning<\/strong>: When you pan away from your current position in flight mode, tapping the yellow arrow to recenter the map also recenters your aircraft in the Vertical Profile.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are many more new, improved, and fixed features in this release.
