Discover EasyVFR 4.6 Faster UI, Autopilot NMEA, Plan(e)Station Mode & Rogers Data Charts

Hello Aviator,

While many of you have been enjoying some well‑deserved flying and family time over the summer, we’ve been busy in the hangar. Version 4.6 focuses on speed, cockpit integration, and hands‑off convenience—so planning and flying feel smoother than ever.

A huge thank‑you to everyone who tested this release — we’re building the future of tools for all VFR airspace users, and your feedback really helps.

What’s new — quick tour

Rogers Data charts now available

In case you missed it, this summer we partnered with Rogers Data — Their VFR ICAO charts are now available in our shop and integrated across Android, iOS, Windows and macOS (and on Dynon SkyView/AFS via our distribution). Choose full‑Europe or regional packs and enjoy richer ATS structures, navaids, obstacles and airport data.ee Rogers Data VFR ICAO Charts

Responsiveness

Faster UI responses, snappier info cards and smoother map interactions across devices.

GPS sharing & Autopilot steering (NMEA)

EasyVFR 4 can now transmit standard NMEA sentences over Wi‑Fi (TCP/UDP) to autopilots that accept NMEA. See Autopilot and GPS-Sharing

Plan(e)Station mode — fixed cockpit tablets & shared devices

For power users: configure a shared device with a single XML file, lock settings, keep data fresh and hand off a consistent setup to the next pilot. Great for rental aircraft tablets and briefing-room kiosks. See Plan(e) Station Mode – Setup EasyVFR for Public Use

Behind the Scenes - What's Next?

While 4.6 brings plenty you can see and feel, our most significant work is happening under the hood. We’re upgrading data pipelines and core OS integrations to deliver faster updates and smoother cockpit connectivity.

Here’s what we can share today about what's coming:

  • BLE cockpit connectivity: Android & iOS support coming—anything we can send over Wi‑Fi will also work over Bluetooth LE. Tell us which BLE devices you’d like prioritized.
  • Faster AIP Supplement updates: moving toward more frequent (near‑daily) refreshes for last‑minute changes.
  • Next‑gen NOTAMs & dynamic airspace: new backend and API are live in V1. We’ll invite EasyVFR Live, Pro and FFM users for early access before year‑end. We want your input on how this tool should work.
