Hello Aviators!

We have a new update with some useful improvements and bug fixes requested by our users.

Two of these improvements may seem small, but they can be quite useful:

metar taf overview and postion relatif to city
  • METAR and TAF Symbols Remain Visible When Zoomed Out and Their Sizes Are Increased
This means that when you zoom out, you can get a quick overview of the weather differences in a larger area. It's a bit like what GAFOR can do for you!
Switch to the Weather Map preset or enable METAR/TAF on the map by navigating to the Map Layers menu -> Weather.
  • Relative Position Towards Nearest City
In the Radio Card, you could already see your position relative to an airfield. Now, it also indicates your position relative to the nearest town. This can be useful when you need to contact ATC.
You can open the Radio Card (when you have a GPS fix) by selecting the headset button.

We'd love your feedback! Let us know how these updates work for you.

Cheers!
Team EasyVFR

  • IMPROVED: When an airspace is highlighted using the info card, a second tap on the highlighted airspace will stop the highlighting.

  • FIXED: When changing METAR/TAF depiction style, the map would only get updated after a pan or zoom.
  • FIXED: DWD GAFOR Full text briefing was not rendered completely.
  • FIXED: The map layer setting Weather -> Wind on VPV and setting Weather -> SigWX On VPV had no effect.
  • FIXED: Highlighting airspaces in the info card did not reset the initially highlighted airspace.
  • FIXED: EasyVFR 4 menu -> Help & Legal -> About EasyVFR did not work on Windows.
