Installation fails on my Samsung A6 (4GB RAM, 64-bits). The progress bar is displayed but ends after a few seconds with an error message "Application not installed". I tried versions 536 and 541.

I'm having the same problem on both my Samsung Note 4 phone and Samsung SM-T580 tablet.

EV4 requires a 64bit device, and I suspect these devices are 32 bit. You can tell by launching EV3, then check the versionnumber at the first page. If it mentions (32) it is a 32 bit system, if it mentions (64) then its a 64 bit system and should work ok.

This means that Tablets with 32bit will not be supported?
This has to be announces very clear before the users will purchase the EV4.

Currently I am not able to test the EV4 on Android but only on IOS - even if Android is my prefered tablet 🙂

Hi Torben, thanks for the heads up. We will improve communication about this before going public.

The reason for this is that Apple, since iOS 11 has stopped supporting 32-bit, and Android is going to.
Luckily all the recent tablets are 64-bit even some more affordable ones. We have good results with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and S4, as well as the new iPad Mini 5 and in general any tablet from the last 12 months.

Now I'm thinking about it, it can be interesting to do a user experiences survey and blog on the different tablets and in-flight setups once EV4 is fully released.

Blue skies,
Tim
