There are several big NO FLY ZONES in Germany (military air defender 2023).  They don’t show in EV!  Guys this is a major fail !

Interesting that EV3 has them activated, and EV4 is oblivious.

Please can you force an aerodata update in EV4. Tap on the Status button (bottom right coloured Red, Amber or Green)>Data>Aerodata>Update All Data. I think this will solve your question.

Thank you, the RESTRICTED AREA does show now, after the forced aerodata update.

However, the problem remains, that I may have a valid data base, but still be missing some very important information.  This does not make sense.  It would imply, that I have to force an aerodata update every day in order to be safe.

Hi Leif,

This sub should have been processed well before the start of the current cycle, so the airspace should have been in the aerodata at the first day of the current cycle (may 18th) definitely, so a daily aerodata download should not have been needed.

I confirmed we received the supplement well in time, and I am trying to find out based on logs when this sub has actually been processed to get a better understanding

A small update:

As extra layer of protection we now create internal NOTAMS for these SUP airspaces so when for whatever reason a SUP airspace definition has not made it into the dataset delivered at the first day of an AIRAC cycle the user will still always see the defined airspace using the graphical NOTAMS depiction. This is now done for these "military air defender 2023" and upcoming 24hrs we will do the same for all SUP defined airspaces in europe and from then on it will be an automatically maintained system

Understood. The volume of these supplements being issued in some countries is very large and in a lot of cases the notice period is not very long in advance.

We are looking at ways of improving the way these are aded to a user's installation automatically. In the meantime, I would recommend that you force an Aerodata update evey few days to ensre that any urgent changes are included.
