I installed EasyVFR on my new Android Tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A9, Android 14, EasyVFR 4.5.0). Despite the activation of airport features, traffic circuits are not displayed. I have them on my cell phone and my Windows computer. Does anyone know what could be the reason that I do not get them on the new Tablet (everything else works fine)?
Maybe updating aerodata helps. I use the same device, also recent and have no problems with evf 4.5 on it.
It’s certainly worth trying an aerodata refresh and even a reinstallation of Easy VFR. The only other reason I can think of is zoom setting. To avoid map clutter the circuits etc are not displayed until you have the map zoomed in quite a bit.

Thank you very much for your hints. I (again; I did this already before) removed and reinstalled EasyVFR and downloaded aerodata again. This did not help.
I am aware of the dependence on the zoom level as I get the circuits on my cell phone (Samsung Galaxy S23, Android 15 [it worked fine with 14 as well]) and on my Windows computer. Is there a specific Android setting needed for the circuits in addition to having activated Airport Features in EasyVFR? (Airport Plates and Docs are not needed, right?)
Hi Peter,
Apologies, this is a bug in version 4.5.0. After adding a country, Airport Features including traffic patterns and approaches are not downloaded; manually updating AeroData is required to do this. This is solved in the latest beta release, 4.5.1 (12MAY2025)
You can either install that beta version or update AeroData. You update manually AeroData by opening the Status card (select the red, orange, or green button) -> Data -> AeroData, scroll down and select Update AeroData.
Does this work for you?
Cheers, Tim
Hi Tim
Thanks for the clarification. Sorry, I did not understand how to update the AeroData. Where do I find these red, orange and green buttons?
Thanks Peter
Thanks a lot. It works now!
Have a nice afternoon. Peter
