I occasionally use user waypoints.
To train GPS non precision approaches under VFR and VMC conditions I have programmed the waypoints using EV 3.9x and than uploaded into my Dynons. This is a useful backup if I am inadvertendtly stuck above cloud.
Is defining user waypoints still foreseen for EV4?

Yes, definitely. In general we want EV4 to get “on par” with EV3 functionality asap. The plan is to ship a new beta more or less weekly woth new features ported and improved from EV3 to EV4. Priority of work is partly determined by the suggestions and upvoting by users of course.
