Dear aviators,

With this week's beta we extend the AUP timespan with the data for Tomorrow.

AUP Tomorrow

Every month we see more and more countries adding airspaces that can be activated by an Airspace Use Plan (AUP). The final call for airspace reservation is made on the date of activation itself at 0600UTC. But one day ahead after 1600UTC, many AUP/UUP reservations are already published. From now on the AUP for Tomorrow is available within EasyVFR 4 after 1600UTC. So when you have a flight planned for tomorrow and you enter the correct departure day and time in the Route Planning menu, you will see the expected airspace activity for your flight. This also works when you don't have an active route and change the Map Interest Timespan.

As always, download the latest data before your flight and check for some last minute changes, just as you are used to do with NOTAMs.

Enjoy the update and have a great weekend, and we look forward to hearing from you all.

Cheers,

Team EasyVFR 4

Release notes

  • NEW: AUP/UUP now supports "Tomorrow", available from 1600Z at the day before.
  • IMPROVED: When timespan units is set to seconds or when EET is less than 60 seconds, then EV4 will display timespans as mm:ss (minutes:seconds)
  • IMPROVED: Status Card can now also be closed by tapping on the header.
  • FIXED: Some Swedish text was being rendered in German.
  • FIXED: A crash could occur when doing menu->Search.
  • FIXED: Overlapping issues of Status Card and Route Card.
  • FIXED: Occasional flickering of Route Card and Route Planning menu when both are active.
  • FIXED: The Flight Statistics window that is shown when a logbook entry is automatically created is now suppressed for all aircraft types except "Fixed Wing", so slow-flying aircraft like flexwings don't get this window shown in the middle of their flight when they fly so slow and low EV4 thinks they have landed.
  • FIXED: Route Total bubble would always display the route total in NM, even if a different distance unit was selected.
