I see the recent email is asking when we think Public Release should happen -- well not until we get the GPS ok and Flarm OK (this latter one may already exist it's been a while since I used EasyVFR4 in my plane) Green lights on the front screen and a big red warning when we lose GPS signal. This is critical to safe use of any GPS nav system and should be given an absolute priority.
Hi Russ,
Thank you for stressing the importance of knowing if all signals and sources are oké and up to date.
The UI team is currently working on a visualization for this.
Here is the topic at the wishlist: https://easyvfr4.aero/community/campfire/gps-status-infobox/
Cheers,
Tim
Hi Russ,
Until the final position of a GPS and connectivity status box is sorted out we have added for the next update the GPS quality and Electronic Conspicuity status as optional InfoFields. The number in the EC Status box shows the number of signals (without filter) that the receiver receives.
What do you think?
That seems like a good idea - at least we can put it where we want it 🙂
