The map scale position is normally on the right hand side vertical .
But in flight mode, with VPV on (!), it will jump to horizontal whenever a manu is opened. Bug or feature? I don’t know.

yes, it is now always centered horizontaly.
However, this position interferes with any open window from the wheel or the flightplan.
In portrait orientation it should be vertical on the right side of the screen but in landscape mode if the screen aspect ratio is too much there is insufficient height for it there so we have repositioned it to the bottom of the screen in those situations. But I take your point that there it is going to be hidden by any open windows. Perhaps we will have to put it a bit lower down, tight against the button area?
No, I think lower down is not possible, as it will interfere with any buttons.
Anyhow, as long as it does not jump around, I am happy wth any location.
