When looking at WX or temporarily activated airspace I would like to be able to control (and have indicated) the actual time depicted on the map. When clicking the time info on the weather map there are "back" "play" "forward" arrows popping up. The "play" arrow is not working, and the arrows are a bit clumsy and well hidden.

The "Calender" box only allows to set a time span. It is, however, unclear, how e.g. AUP data are processed when the activation of a restricted area falls in the middle of that time span. Why a span and not a clear time? Or a time and a "delay span" with a logic, that whatever occurs in that span, will be depicted on the map?

What about a time slider / scroll bar at the bottom of the screen for these time-dependent flight-planning activities? (as for example in windy.com)

Cheers

Albrecht

Why a span and not a clear time

Because a flight always take a timeframe, not a single moment.

AUP data are processed when the activation of a restricted area falls in the middle of that time span

If an airspace is activated (no matter if by NOTAM, AUP, time of day etc) during a period defined by the map interest start and end periods, then that airspace will be shown as active.

Using a timestepper like on the WX mappreset (the play button there indeed doesn't work yet) or a slider to have the map depict the airspace and NOTAM state for a specific point in time would currently be too slow to conveniently use.

Ok thanks for explaining! Didn’t think about rendering speed...
