EDIT: 4.1.3 is now promoted to the app stores for all platforms. From now on all European pilots can benefit from the new tier structure and other improvements. See https://easyvfr4.aero/#pricing-and-plans

Dear test pilots,

With the summer well on its way, we are happy to announce that version 4.1 is here! Today's public beta release wraps up all the efforts made over the past months and adds some further stability improvements since the last beta release. New license tiers, the start of the new UI design, stability and performance improvements, more countries, enhanced shop integration, and account management. Enough enchantments to bump the version numbering from 4.0 to 4.1. Soon to be promoted to app store release so airspaces users can start using EasyVFR Essential and up.

Stability
With the last beta version, several stability improvements were made. With 4.0.987 we learned that the stability of EasyVFR on iOS was drastically improved. But on Android, though a bit improved, was still experiencing sudden closes from the app. We have invested another month and found several opportunities for Android specific and also for all platforms. Some are implemented with this version. Others will be addressed throughout future updates.

New countries and regions
Cyprus, South Africa, Madagascar, and Israel are now supported by EasyVFR 4.
To download these, first, download all data. Status Dot -> Data -> Aerodata Update All Data. Then, pan the map to bring the country into view and trap on it. A pop-up will ask to download data for the country tapped on. Or go to EasyVFR 4 menu -> Download menu -> Country Select.

If you have any feedback feel free to write them below or send us an email. We are specifically interested in any crash or freeze you find. When you do please send us an email with some contextual information so we can learn how to reproduce it and fix it for you.

We will get back to you soon with more updates on the user interface, tools, and data.

Cheers,
Team EasyVFR 4
