Is there a way to backup/restore all the settings for EV4?

I have noticed that they must all be saved locally because if you change user account then all the settings are retained.

I want to completely duplicate an EV4 set-up onto another identical tablet so this would massively simplify the process. I could even back-up the aerodata then it doesn't need downloading again.

It depends a lot on platform, not all platforms allow access to the datafiles in the same easy manner. For android it also depends a lot on what android version you are using. Android 10 and Android 11 restrict file access much more then pervious versions, and only a few file explorers support this now (they must be specially approved by Google I believe). On our own Android devices I use X-plore, that works.

Then with such a file explorer you can browse to /Android/data/com.pocketfms.easyvfr4/files and in theory you should be able to copy all files and subdirectories there to another device. Please realise some settings are screen resolution dependent, so in general I would do this only if both the source and destination devices are identical.

That worked perfectly. I got a tablet set-up perfectly, installed X-plore, copied the "files" folder onto a different tablet with a new EV4 installation and it loaded as a carbon copy. The only thing I noticed to be cautious about is to have the internet disabled to give you time to change the user credentials. Otherwise it tries to sync tablet 1's user data.

I've tried it both with the same version of EV4 and also different versions and it seems to work on both.
