Tapping the yellow „aircraft out of view“ arrow does not return me to my present position anymore.
The arrow is partially hidden by the vertical view and the route label if displayed.
Today, tapping the yellow arrow DOES return me to my present position. I have not changed anything. ?!?
Now I can show you what I mean with auto zoom in vertical view. Note the 25 mile scale at the start. When recentering the map position, the vertical view changes to 5 miles.
To be honest I don't know if there is supposed to be a link between panning the map and the VP (Vertical Profile). Normally the VP adjusts its horizontal scale to the speed of the aircraft. I see the flightmode is turned on, maybe that has something to do with it. I will play around anyhow a bit to get a feeling about it
As I was at home when taking this video, my speed was 0.
Never the less I did experience the same scale change in flight at about 60kts. I wanted to prepare for some airspace 20 miles ahead, and the auto zoom removed my manual scale repeatedly to replace it with a few miles of blue sky. That was not helpful.
