Release notes
- NEW: SafeSky Premium integrated directly into EasyVFR 4. No separate app is needed, only EasyVFR and the SafeSky Premium subscription. Available in our shop, also with a 30-day trial.
-
IMPROVED: VPV toggle button is now always on the screen regardless of whether VPV is set to off/auto/manual.
- FIXED: Aircraft Profile page did not always offer callsign to edit.
- FIXED: When the aircraft type is changed in Aircraft Profile the aircraft type change is passed to SafeSky also.
- FIXED: ICAO24 ICAO Transporter code is removed from the Aircraft Profile screen because it could create an endless loop trying to register the aircraft when the ICAO24 entered by the user did not correspond with the ICAO24 known for that callsign at SafeSky.

Q: I have my Traffic > Vertical Range Filter set to 3,000ft, yet it is showing stuff at 9406 and 23330! 😱 any ideas what to do please?
Cheers,
P
Hi Paul,
The Vertical Range Filter has only effect when in flight.
Cheers,
Tim
Great, thanks Tim!
how do i de-select countries from the map
Hi Gary,
cheers 👍
The Vertical Range Filter has only effect when in flight.
while funny at first, I would request to have that changed.
I live in the vicinity of Frankfurt and the screen is cluttered with moving targets.
While I find the SafeSky feature really nice, I want to be able to turn it ON or OFF or show only certain targets.
Since "VPV toggle button is now always on the screen regardless from VPV set to off removed link " surely [Off] has no more function? The only options needed in Preferences are [Auto] or [Manual]... saves pixels!
Cheers

Hi @Leif,
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the SafeSky Premium integration in EasyVFR 4.

While I find the SafeSky feature really nice, I want to be able to turn it ON or OFF or show only certain targets.
Just to clarify, are you suggesting the implementation of an option to hide or filter traffic during planning mode to avoid obstructing labels? Or, are you also interested in ways to filter or hide traffic during flying mode?
Currently, we offer the following settings at Satus card -> Traffic:
- Vertical Range Filter: This option hides traffic that is outside the set vertical range of your current altitude when in flying mode. The default is set to 3000ft and can be customized. Please note that this filter only works during flying mode and not during planning. When planning, EasyVFR 4 currently displays all received traffic.
- Get Traffic From SafeSky: You have the option to disable the display of any traffic received via SafeSky by toggling this feature.
Blue skies,
Tim
I would prefer the following for SafeSky:
Planning mode default OFF. - Optional toggle to ON ALL or ON FILTERED
Flying mode default ON FILTERED. - Optional ON ALL or OFF.
The toggle switch should be accessible in the first Status Layer. Presently it is hidden too far away.

I take it into consideration.

The label has „sy“ which is useless.
The yellow arrow for climb/descent is somewhat detached. It should be the same color as the altitude label and closer to the digits, to show that they belong together.
