When tapping anywhere on the map, the five button circle menu appears. Tap the [Route] button (top-left) to see the nearest objects. Pick one of them and insert or append it to the existing route. IMHO it'd be nice if the white objects list would then close itself; I's like to see the map when I've added a leg to the route. The window now needs a tap from the user to close.
