Without an active internet connection, the Route is only saved locally. Of course, it cannot be saved to the Cloud without an internet link! But it woudl be better if either (a) the user were warned that it was only saved locally and that it should be re-saved later when the internet was available; or (b) (Better IMHO!) if the route were to be internally flagged for saving to the Cloud  and be automatically saved once internet connectivity is regained.

To be fair, EV3 has the same shortcoming, so this is probably an enhancement proposal rather than a bug!
