Guys, the online instructions on how to connect the SkyEcho2 are outdated and misleading. They need to be updated: removed link and https://easyvfr4.aero/de/community/traffic-receivers/flarm-license-and-skyecho-2/
Also, I cannot figure out why "Traffic Collision Voice Alarm" is greyed out on my iPad. Any good ideas? It looks enabled but greyed out.
Hi Andre,
Yeah, with all the recent changes a lot of FAQ articles have to be rewritten I'm afraid. Its on our todo list.
Regarding the disabled "Traffic Collision Voice Alarm", it took me some time to find that out, but could you please check menu->Alarms and Warnings, make sure option [Give Spoken Information] is turned on there.
That's off - so good find - as it's a little chatty for my taste and some messages come several times or even without cause (standard QNH vs. local QNH). With that said, traffic warnings are of a high priority to me. Any way I can get these traffic warnings without having to listen to everything else?
Hi Andre,
sorry for the late reply, but yes, you can control for which warnings an audible alarm will be given. Goto menu->Alarms and Warnings. There you can turn off Airspace Warnings. Then select [Voice Settings], here you can control for which events you would like to hear voice warnings.
Ok, will try that. Thanks for the note. A somewhat connected question: for some strange reason, when I am listening to music (Spotify) on the iPad, any accustic warnings from EasyVFR will terminate the music permanently. Any good ideas on how that can be mitigated?
To be honest I have no clue at all, sorry  Let me see if I can setup a similar system here using the simulator.
I continue to have this problem. The moment EV4 says something, spotify stops playing for good. This is really annoying. iPad with latest iOS.
